WEST MINSTER, N.B. — (Reuters) — The Canadian Rockies have begun training for their first-ever outdoor exhibition game against the North Dakota Mavericks, which opens with a 7 p.m., kickoff at the MTS Centre on Friday, Feb. 7.

The game is part of the league’s Outdoor Series, which began in March.

The Rockies have not played since a 3-2 win on March 4 in Fargo.

The series ends in November.

The team is expected to play in two exhibition games, including Thursday’s game.

The Rockies also have scheduled training camp for Feb. 13-15 in Alberta.
